AboutAres, God of war in the Ancient greek society, is known for his strength, love of gore, and bold force. He is the son of Zeus and Hera, and one of the 12 Olympians. Although he was not married to her, he had a longstanding love affair with Aphrodite, and had several children with her. Two of the more famous children were Eros( Cupid) and Harmonia, goddess of harmony. His supposed hometown was Thrace, a town of fierce people in the North of Greece, but Ares was not very well worshipped in Greece. That was due mostly to the fact that he was not very well liked by humans, or by the gods in the myths. He represents and loves all that is bad about war like bloodshed, death, tumult, horror and confusion. Because of this he was not the Greek people's favorite god.
